Milling work for my project stand went well today but I could have done more since the lecturer changed the time slot for the lecture in the last minute! So I had lecture from 4.30pm to 6.30pm again today! Sigh..... and now I can no longer skip M495 lectures since my FYP prof is lecturing and he knows I am in his course......... Urrrgghhh.... (Wonder if he will buy the excuse that I am doing FYP though.....)
Had KFC for dinner at Jurong Point and went to buy dental floss and ate Prima Deli's waffles. Lots of people, most of them doing CNY shopping I guess. I wonder how crowded China will be when Singapore is already that crowded (and it was at the most westernly located shopping mall). I just completed 4 rounds of Minesweepers and I lost all 4! This is real bad..... I think I suck at this game cos I am so impatient, always jump on one move without further thought! I guess I need to improve on this.

Yeah I have been writing less and less frequently nowadays.... I guess the freshness of writing a blog just have disappeared! I hope to maintain this blog but have just been too busy with FYP, socializing and watching animes and TVB Dramas.
On the FYP front, my progress have been a bit slow but I got the equipments and now just need the Electrophoresis platform ready before I start work on the experimental stage..... Yeah its slow all because of my holiday in Canada. And now there's Chinese New Year coming that could once again disrupt my plans, since I will again depart for Shanghai on the 5th of Feb.
And this weekend have been one with inadequate sleep since I was out till late at night on Friday and Saturday. On friday it was meeting up with Sec. School classmates since Benjy is going off to Australia to do Architecture and on Saturday it was Mona's Birthday. Had fun yesterday since we had French food at Vis-a-Vis. The food was good, I had rack of lamb and we also ordered Foie Gras and Escargots for appetizers and the proprietor of the place was hospitable and chatted with us for some time. After the meal we headed for the observation lounge at Meritus Mandarin and had some cocktails. Overall it was an activity-filled weekend, albeit a bit tiring!
So now I am looking forward to a whole new week with majority of the time spent in the Machining lab to complete my testing platform and I do hope everything goes smoothly. (Praying hard for that!)

School have started but FYP progress has still been slow. Initially, I had trouble with finding an ultrasonic transducer for the Gel Electrophoresis but managed to get it from the Materials Lab on Friday so that was good. At least there is still no need yet for me to think of an idea to generate ultrasound vibration.
This week, my Dad and Mum also went back to Indonesia and sent them off on Thursday! Will have to wait till February before I get to see them again! But I kinda miss my bro and sis more since I only get to see them later this year......Anyway this term I thought I would be less busy with just 4 modules but it still seems the same. This is all because the schedule of my electives classes are all in the evening at 430 or 530pm and some are in the morning, which means I have long breaks during Thursdays and Fridays!!! (Maybe I can go over to Jurong Point to catch a movie before returning for lessons =D)
Speaking of movies, went with Clement, Sheng Da and Huimin to watch the Phantom of the Opera, the movie was good but too bad we got the 2nd row seats..... Hope to get a better seat when I get to watch other movies next time. Yesterday I went to play Warcraft 3 with Sonny and managed to beat him consecutively for 4 games, until he beat me in the last round. That was definitely a night to savour !!!

It's a new year already and that means my holiday is coming to an end!~ Well it also mean a semester away from graduation!!
New Year's Day is also my Sis Birthday and we celebrated it by going to Cypress for a snowboarding trip. This time we took the chairlift up both mountains and it was a tiring but fun day well spent for the 1st day of the year!
Hmm there's also a sad part to this new year, first I am going back to Singapore from my holiday in Vancouver on the 2nd and there's the increasing death toll from the Tsunami Disaster in South Asia and Indonesia is amongst the heavily hit nation. It seems this tsunami serves to remind us that separatist movements are as cruel to human lives as tsunami waves are. The major disaster areas are Sri Lanka and Aceh province in Indonesia which have continuously raged wars for the sake of independence..... This isn't the way to deal with problems, as I think nations should remain united for strength and governments should be fair to citizens of all races, cultures and ideas. Tibet is another example, China have tried as far as possible to improve the lifestyles of people there and I believe it will only further disadvantage Tibet if it is independent!
